About

Behind taktforge is a person who has seen behind the scenes of plenty of businesses.

Understanding processes means talking to the people who run them every day. That's exactly where I start.

The person

Thilo Krause

Founder · taktforge

My background is in process modelling, in operations and in systems integration for mid-sized firms. I've seen how manufacturing and trading businesses really work — not the way the manual describes it, but the way it actually runs between the ERP, Excel and a quick word across the room.

It's in exactly those transitions that the friction builds up: the points where a process is handed from one department, one system or one person to the next. That's where I start — with a method that repeats, and with the willingness to actually build the solution.

The reason

Why I started taktforge.

I've seen too often how consulting ends: with an elaborate presentation, a list of recommendations — and then silence. The report lands in a shared drive, everyday work catches up with everyone, and a year later the process is the same as before. Not because the analysis was wrong, but because between “someone should do this” and “this is running now” lies a gap no one bridges.

My conviction is simple: modelling and building have to be the same hand. Whoever designs the target process must also be able to implement it — otherwise too much is lost on the way from concept to reality. A diagram no one implements is not a result.

taktforge is the attempt to close exactly that gap: to make the diagnosis concrete enough that it becomes a blueprint, and then to actually build — until the process runs and your team operates it themselves.

Working together

Where you stand with me.

No surprises, no jargon, no lock-in. These principles hold in every project — no matter how big or small.

  • I'll honestly turn you down if I'm not the right fit for your problem — it saves us both time.
  • A fixed price at the entry point. You know what it costs before we start.
  • I name technologies and systems concretely, instead of talking in buzzwords.
  • The end result is a running process your team operates itself — not a slide deck.
  • I talk first to the people who run the process, not just to the management level.
